Integrated Computer Application - Optimize Capacity Plan and Time Series Forecasting

Objective:

Create a worksheet in Microsoft Excel to evaluate Nike's manufacturing and logistics strategy for its major retail customers in Canada. This assignment will help you become familiar with entering text and data, using cell references, adjusting column widths, and formatting cell font colors in Excel.

Instructions:

1. Set Up the Worksheet:

   • Open Microsoft Excel and create a new workbook.
   • Save the workbook as "Nike_Manufacturing_Logistics_Strategy_LastName_FirstName.xlsx".

2. Enter Text and Data:

   • Create the following sections in the worksheet:
     

• • When you change the font color of a cell’s contents, you choose from standard and theme colors. See below. Move your mouse over the colors to see their names. Notice that the name of each theme color also includes a designation of text, background, or accent. In addition to the color and expected use there is a percentage of brightness. Therefore a  single Theme Colors can have interesting names like Tan, Background 2, Darker 25% or Red, Accent 2, Lighter 40%. 

• • Change A2 to the standard color red.
  • Change the row labels in cells A3 through A7, each to a different theme color that you choose.
  • Change the name of the worksheet from Sheet1 to Capacity.
  • Save and close your workbook.

3. Submit your Excel workbook to the assignment in Canvas.
