TABLES: INFO & NOTES

Tables allow you to visually display and organize data. They help students learn by making connections between pieces of information.

Ways you can use tables in Canvas…

  • Create a course schedule table.
  • Display data that is important for students’ understanding.

Notes

  • Mobile - The table will include a horizontal scroll bar so that students can easily scroll right on the table.
  • This table is zebra striped (every other row is light gray) because this helps with comprehension and scanning the table.
  • The width of columns in this table will automatically adjust based on the size of the content in those columns.

The table here requires a header row, which works for the majority of tables. If you need a header column or both a header row and column, you will need to manually style your table.
