Welcome to Beautiful Canvas Pages Made Easy

Introduction to Beautiful Canvas Pages Made Easy

If you’re tired of bland Canvas content, this self-paced course is for you. This self-paced course is a collection of Canvas design elements that you can incorporate into your Canvas content, including:

  • Pages
  • Assignments
  • Discussion Boards
  • Classic Quizzes (currently unavailable in New Quizzes)
  • Announcements (does not apply to email notifications of Announcements)
  • Syllabus

In this self-paced course, you’ll also learn how to implement these design elements. You can pick and choose which elements to use, whether that’s adding a single button to your Canvas site or creating entire pages just like this one!

If you want to get excited before you dive in, you can preview all the elements in the design library on a single page.

How This Course Is Organized

This self-paced course contains 4 modules.

  1. Start Here: How to Use the Design Library. This module will walk you through everything you need to know to use any of the design library elements. It’s important that you start with this module.
  2. Design Library Elements. This module contains individual pages on each design library element. Each page provides a demo of the element in action, notes about how to use it, and steps to copy it into your Canvas content. The module is ordered with the easiest items first and the trickiest items last.
  3. Design Library Page Templates. This module contains templates for common Pages you may need in Canvas. You can copy these templates and edit them to make them your own. It also includes a few content blocks that you can mix and match in your Canvas content.
  4. Want Help? This module directs you to support resources, including requests for new design library elements, reporting a style issue, and scheduling a course design consultation.
