Lab Policy
Pre-Lab Worksheet is worth 10 pts and the Lab Report is worth 90 pts. That is 100 pts for each lab.
- Pre-Lab worksheet is due at the beginning of your lab session. Before you fill it, you will need to read the lab procedure in the manual and, if assigned, watch any demo videos or read additional material. Pre-Lab worksheet can be as a Word document, filled out, preferably converted to PDF, and submitted through Canvas assignments .
- Lab Report is due at the beginning of your lab session one week after the experiment (unless otherwise noted). Lab Report should be composed in Word, converted to PDF, and submitted through Canvas assignments. See format on Canvas.
- Lab Notebook will be periodically checked and graded. You must obtain an instructor signature each lab before leaving, otherwise, points will be subtracted.
Safety in the Lab:
- Face mask: Optional for all lectures and labs. BSU issues two reusable masks for each student if needed.
- Safety Goggles (not shop goggles)
- Lab Coat (with long sleeves and covering knees) as well as clothing that COMPLETELY covers the body from the underarms down must be worn. Shoes must also completely cover the foot. No ankles should be exposed. Long hair should be tied back or tucked into your lab coat.
