Welcome to this course!

I am so happy to have you here.  This is a fully online, full-semester course that runs until the end of the semester, December 2021.  

You will need to have a new textbook for this course because you will need an access code that accompanies new versions of this text book.  The access code will allow you to enter the online homework site called Mastering.  Because of this access code, please make sure to purchase a new copy of the book (e-copy, hard-copy, or loose leaf) so you can retrieve the access code.   More information on the textbook is found in the syllabus.  You should be able to purchase the textbook through the Ball State bookstore.

Once you have your textbook, you will be able to start the course.  There are between one to two assignments due on Saturday each week.  Approximately every two weeks there is an exam due by Sunday evening.  The course calendar is found in the syllabus, as well as the Mastering site.  You will compete the homework assignments and exams on the Mastering site.

To access the Mastering site, please follow the instructions posted on Canvas.  Once on Mastering, you will need the access code (found in your textbook), the course ID (found on Canvas), and your Ball State student ID.
